K5 has boarded international rights to Man Under, the new feature to be directed by and to star Tim Robbins.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz also lead the cast.

Ann Cherkis writes the script and producers are Alexandra Milchan for EMJAG, Scott Lambert for Film 360 and Aimee Peyronnet at Wild Child Films.

The story is about a Yonkers family whose lives are changed when a lauded photographer who took their picture dies tragically.

“Tim Robbins is one of American cinema’s most intelligent and fascinating figures,” said K5 Founders Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur.

“His films both as an actor and a director have already become classics. Alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz, we are sure this is going to be a beautiful, touching and poetic piece of filmmaking with three of today’s finest talents.”

Tim Robbins is serving on the Competition jury here in Berlin.
