Ben Sharrock’s second feature Limbo boasts five nominations in the Bafta Scotland awards.
It has been nominated in the best feature film category; Vikash Bhai and Amir El-Masry have been nominated for best film actor and Sharrock has been nominated for best fiction director and best writer categories.
The film, which tells the story of a group of refugees stranded on a remote Scottish island, recently scooped the Hitchcock d’Or Ciné and the public prize feature film award at the Dinard Festival of British Film.
The awards honour the best talent in film, games and television produced in Scotland. They will be presented at a digital ceremony on November 20. Edith Bowman will host the socially distanted, closed-studio show at BBC Pacific Quay.
Scott Graham’s third film Run, which is set in a Scottish fishing port and takes inspiration from Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born To Run’, also scooped three nominations, for fiilm actor (Mark Stanely), film actress (Marli Siu) and feature film.
