Lionsgate has promoted Jim Packer and Ron Schwartz to jointly head worldwide home entertainment operations. Separately, Robert Simonds has hired two more senior executives to his nascent studio.
Packer (pictured, at left) will keep his current title and responsibilities as president of worldwide television and digital distribution and recently signed a long-term deal with the company.
Schwartz (pictured, at right) will serve as president of Lionsgate Home Entertainment and is promoted from president and general manager of Lionsgate Home Entertainment Sales and distribution.
Lionsgate co-COO and motion picture group president Steve Beeks, to whom both executives will continue to report, made the announcement.
- Rich Sullivan and Philip Goore have joined Robert Simonds studio as chief financial officer and evp of business and legal affairs for the motion picture group, respectively. Sullivan was deputy chief financial officer at Dreamworks Animation while Goore has filled senior business affairs roles at Universal, New Line and Dreamworks Pictures.
