Lord David Puttnam will launch eQuinoxe Europe’s new Closing Event at the 15th International Screenwriters’ Workshop, which started today [Nov 7] and runs until Nov 14 in Elmau, Bavaria.
Lord Puttnam will address the topic of responsibility in film-making, centring on during the early script development phase.
Ellen Winn Wendl, eQuinoxe, Europe chair, commented: “Lord Puttnam’s distinguished career as producer, studio CEO, UNICEF ambassador, politician and lecturer is so remarkable that we could not have wished for a more competent and inspiring guest. The purpose of the new component is to close the workshop with matters of cultural, ethical and socio-political importance.”
The workshop will see nine internationally renowned screenwriters, including Life of Pi’s David Magee, serve as advisors for nine writers from seven different countries and their respective producers.
