David Cronenberg’s latest generates the biggest buzz, but David Michôd’s The Rover leads on intent-to-view.
Maps to the Stars has been generating the most buzz online ahead of Cannes, according to the latest research from Way To Blue.
David Cronenberg’s latest leads in terms of overall buzz with 20,236 mentions and 2,527 mentions of intent-to-view, but it’s pipped on the latter by David Michôd’s The Rover with 2,606 intent-to-view buzz.
In third place in terms of both overall buzz and intent-to-view buzz was Olivier Assayas’ Clouds of Sils Maria.
Twihards dominate Cannes discussion with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and their respective films generating 76% Share of Voice.
Other discussion points include Ryan Gosling (6%) and the rumours of the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (5%).
For the research, Way To Blue looked at the top ten films of the festival that are being discussed and how much of this was focused on seeing the film (intent-to-view).
The data was global and was taken from April 17-May 11.
