Margot Robbie won best supporting actress for Bombshell at the Australian Academy’s AACTA International Awards in Los Angeles on Friday (January 3) after she previously became one of three Australians to collectively claim an unprecedented four nominations in the category.
Bong Joon Ho’s South Korean Golden Globe and Oscar contender Parasite was named best film, Saoirse Ronan best actress for Little Women, Adam Driver best actor for Marriage Story and Brad Pitt best supporting actor for Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
Quentin Tarantino won the best directing award for Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood while Taika Waititi prevailed in the screenplay category for Jojo Rabbit.
Last month Robbie (Bombshell, Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood), Nicole Kidman (Bombshell) and Toni Collette (Knives Out) made history when they collectively earned four nods for Australians in a single category.
