MGM’s international distribution and acquisitions division has acquired all remaining territories excluding China on Bill & Ted Face The Music from Endeavor Content.
MGM previously secured distribution in key territories including Germany, Greece, Latin America and the Middle East, among others, and its Orion Pictures will distribute in the US on August 14.
The new deal encompasses France, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Hungary, Turkey, Benelux, Bulgaria, Singapore and Romania.
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reunite on the cult comedy franchise that started in 1989. In the latest instalment, William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan are middle-aged best friends who embark on a quest for the song that will bring harmony to the universe with the help of their daughters.
Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine also star, and the cast includes Kid Cudi, Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr. and Amy Stoch.
Dean Parisot directed from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Scott Kroopf, Alex Lebovici, Steve Ponce are producers, with Steven Soderbergh, R. Scott Reid, John Ryan Jr. and John Santilli serving as executive producers.
