David Garrett’s UK-based Mister Smith Entertainment has acquired international rights to romantic comedy Which Brings Me To You, starring Lucy Hale and is introducing the project to buyers next week in Cannes.
The feature is in pre-production and will shoot this summer on the US east coast.
It will be directed by Peter Hutchings who also directed Hale in another romantic comedy The Hating Game which came out last year.
Which Brings Me To You sees Hale, best known for Pretty Little Liars, play a freelance journalist who gets together with a photographer at a mutal friends’ wedding. Over the next 24 hours, they share stories of their most embarrassing sexual encounters, first loves, heartbreak and whirlwind romances.
Keith Bunin wrote the screenplay adapted from the novel by Julianna Baggott and Steve Almond.
Claude Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures are producing with Hale executive producing.
