Elias Axume has been promoted to senior vice-president of distribution and operations at Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures.

Axume previously served as vice-president of distribution and operations and his expanded role will entail greater responsibility in film and television sales and oversight of both feature post-production and international film servicing. 

He joined Myriad in 2006 from Mobius Films International, where he served as vice-president of post-production and distribution services. Prior to that he held the same position at Franchise Pictures.

“Elias has very successfully managed his dual roles as a senior sales executive for Myriad and head of delivery and post,” Myriad president and CEO Kirk D’Amico said. “In today’s economy, it is more and more important for independent companies to have executives like Elias who are capable of managing and directing multiple areas of responsibility.His accomplishments are worthy of recognition.”
