Netflix has acquired global rights excluding China from Legendary Entertainment to Enola Holmes starring Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things.
Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Burn Gorman, Susan Wokoma, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter round out the starry cast.
Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) directed the film based on Jack Thorne’s (Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, The Aeronauts)’s adaptation of Nancy Springer’s six-book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries.
Enola Holmes tells the story of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ rebellious teen sister Enola, a gifted super-sleuth who often outsmarts her brilliant siblings. When her mother mysteriously disappears on her 16th birthday, Enola runs off to London to find her.
Legendary’s Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes serve as producers, alongside Brown and Paige Brown through their PCMA Productions. Executive producers are Legendary’s Joshua Grode, Michael Dreyer, and Bradbeer.
A release date had not been set at time of writing.
