MGM dropped a new trailer for the upcoming James Bond thriller No Time To Die during Sunday’s (February 2) Super Bowl broadcast.
The 30-second spot shows Bond – Daniel Craig in what will be his final outing in the role – flying a light aircraft out of the cargo hold of an airborne transporter with a fellow agent (Lashana Lynch) beside him.
There are brief shots of familiar cast regulars – Ben Whishaw as gadgets supremo Q, Ralph Fiennes as Bond’s boss M, Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann – as well as new additions Ana de Armas, and Rami Malek as arch villain Safin.
Against the backdrop of various action shots, a man’s voice can be heard issuing a chilling ultimatum: “When our secret finds its way out, it will be the death of you.”
Cary Joji Fukunaga directs No Time Do Die from a screenplay by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Fukunaga, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli serve as producers.
The 25th instalment in the storied espionage franchise is set to premiere in London on March 31 and opens in the UK on April 2, followed by Europe, Australia, Brazil, South Korea and other major territories, before it debuts in the US on April 10.
MGM and Annapurna will distribute in North America through their joint venture United Artists Releasing, and Universal Pictures International handles international distribution.
For the record, a see-saw Super Bowl LIV ended with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Miami.
