EXCLUSIVE: Octane Multimedia has acquired worldwide rights to crime thriller Maze Of Fate and will be offering the film to international buyers at next month’s American Film Market.
Octane also plans to give the film, which stars Robert LaSardo, Cesar Garcia and Richard Cabral, a North American release early next year.
Written and directed by Attila Korosi, Maze Of Fate follows the intersecting lives and timelines of characters including an emergency room doctor and a boy from east Los Angeles attacked by a vicious gang.
Korosi and Ishaan Bahri produced the film, their second feature after 2015’s City Full Of Angels.
Octane Multimedia head of acquisitions Mark A Silba commented: “Attila’s writing and directing style reminds me of indie directors such as Harmony Korine and the Safdie brothers; real, gritty, authentic, and unapologetic. Maze Of Fate is a film which I think will resonate with those who have lived the ‘true’ American life.”
Korosi added: “Is the outcome of our life predetermined or is it the sum of our choices? Questions like this led to exciting discussions and I wanted to create a story around this concept. We are excited to partner with Octane Multimedia and introduce Maze of Fate to worldwide audiences.”
