Paramount+ leadership has announced the international rollout of Premium and advertising tier subscriptions.
The Premium Plan is set to launch in Australia, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico on November 16. Plan subscribers can use four concurrent streams (compared to two streams with the Standard plan).
The Premium Plan will launch in Australia priced at AU$13.99 monthly and AU$124.99 annually; in Brazil for BRL 34.90 monthly and BRL 309.90 annually; in Canada for CA$13.99 monthly and CA$124.99 CAD annually; and in Mexico for MXN 179 monthly and MXN 1,609 annually.
The advertising tier will roll out in select international markets including Australia and Canada starting in 2024. In Mexico and Brazil, Paramount+ will continue to offer the mobile tier instead, which launched in April.
“After expanding our footprint to more than 45 markets last year, we are focused on scaling our business and providing customer choice,” said Marco Nobili, EVP and international general manager for Paramount+.
“Following the launch of the mobile plan in Mexico and Brazil, the introduction of the Premium and Ad-supported plans will give us the ability to better serve different consumer segments by providing multiple pricing options while also tapping into tremendous opportunities among our advertising and brand partners.”
Speaking at Series Mania earlier this year Nobili (pictured at the event) said the platform will continue to invest in international material, adding: ”International is going to give us a lot of scale and capability to really play this game at a different level.”
Paramount+ encompasses features from Paramount Pictures as well as features and series from Paramount Global stablemates including CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and Showtime.
Recently added shows include series from the Taylor Sheridan Universe such as Lioness, Tulsa King, Yellowstone, 1923, 1883, and Mayor Of Kingstown, as well as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and upcoming limited series like Fellow Travelers and The Curse.
The Premium Plan will be available on the Paramount+ App on Apple iOS, Apple tvOS, Amazon Fire, Google, Roku, and Samsung at launch and arrive on LG, VIDAA/ Hisense, Xbox, and Amazon Prime Video in 2024.
