UK sales and distribution company Park Circus has appointed Doug Davis as its new CEO.
Davis joins from New Regency, the US-based production company behind Bohemian Rhapsody and The Revenant, where he was vice president of the firm’s London-based international sales division. He also previously held positions at NBCUniversal, Blinkbox and Atom Films.
Park Circus CEO Mark Hirzberger-Taylor is stepping down, after being appointed in 2019, to focus on new ventures.
“The business is now at a timely inflexion point and so this is a good moment for me to move on to new challenges,” said Hirzberger-Taylor.
”I leave Park Circus in great shape and as the industry continues to evolve there are huge opportunities and I wish Doug the best of luck as he moves the company forward into its next growth phase.”
Park Circus was established in 2003 and has offices in Glasgow, London, Los Angeles and Paris as well as a sales presence in Australia, Germany and Japan. The company represents a back catalogue of more than 25,000 films as well as a growing number of contemporary films on behalf of studio and independent partners.
It underwent a staff restructuring last month, which included the promotion of Jack Bell from director of theatrical sales to the new role of director of sales and marketing.
