Patrick Roy replaces Bryan Gliserman at eOne

Gliserman has segued into a first-look deal and was hailed by eOne global film group president Steve Bertram for his “leadership, passion and commitment”.

Roy currently oversees eOne’s Québec Film operations and will retain his duties at Les Films Séville and Les Films Christal and expand his purview to exploit opportunities in English-Canada.

He will remain in Québec and lead the teams between Toronto and Montreal.

Gliserman joined eOne in 2008 and directed the Canadian team through the release of record-breaking hits including The Twilight Saga franchise, Gnomeo & Juliet, Now You See Me and American Hustle.

Roy joined eOne/Les Films Seville to lead Québec Film operations in 2013 after eOne acquired Alliance Films, where he served as president of Alliance’s Vivafilm. He played a key role in launching Séville International last year.

“Patrick has a great track record of success as well as the expertise to lead eOne’s talented Canadian team as our business moves into the future,” said Bertram, who made the announcements on Thursday (January 29).

“He brings great film-maker relationships as well as a keen understanding of eOne’s global film strategy, our international business and our wide network of partners.”

Bertram added: “As Bryan moves on to pursue this next phase of his career, we are pleased to continue our relationship. We thank him for his leadership, passion and commitment though a transformative time for our business and our industry.”
