Top brass at the Tribeca Film Festival presented by AT&T announced on Thursday (March 29) that Patti Smith and her band will perform after the world premiere screening of Steven Sebring’s documentary, Horses: Patti Smith And Her Band.
The Smith documentary screening is on April 23 and chronicles the final concerts of the 40th anniversary of Smith’s seminal album Horses, performed in full in at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Additions to the festival’s film, TV, Tribeca Talks and Tribeca Immersive programmes, as well as the first event by Time’s Up, the legal fund set up in January to support victims of sexual predators.
Ashley Judd and Julianne Moore are scheduled to attend the event on April 28, which will include discussions led by activists, filmmakers, storytellers, and lawyers.
The Immersive programme will add Baobab Studios’ VR and immersive theatre blend Jack: Part One to its slate, while the Tribeca TV programme is set to include ESPN docuseries Enhanced from executive producers Alex Gibney and Brad Hebert on April 26.
