Film i Väst has appointed Peter Possne as its head of production.
He will start his new post at the leading regional film fund in Scandinavia as of Jan 1, 2018.
Peter Possne is a veteran of the Swedish and international film industry and has produced, co-produced and distributed more than 100 films and TV dramas over the last 30 years. He is the former founder of Sonet Film, which produced the Oscar-nominated As It Is In Heaven.
Film i Väst’s CEO Mikael Fellenius said: “Film i Väst has had a long relationship with Peter Possne, who knows the business well and is committed to the company’s mission and goals. With him, we will have a strong leader with great knowledge and experience in the film and television industry.”
Possne added: “It is with great enthusiasm and a high level of ambition, I look forward to the role as new head of production. To continue building Film i Väst’s unprecedented success is an exciting challenge.”
Tomas Eskilsson, who has been acting head of production, continues at Film I Vast as strategy director.
Film I Vast, based in Trollhatten, Sweden, has co-produced or invested in 2017 festival hits including The Square, Tom Of Finland, Borg McEnroe, The Wife and Thelma.
