Screen can reveal the first trailer of Chris Raiber’s First Snow Of Summer, which has just been boarded for international sales by Picture Tree International (PTI).
The urban love story world premieres on Tuesday (January 31) at the Göteborg Film Festival and is the debut feature of the Austrian director.
It’s the story of a young man, Alexander, who is determined never to fall in love until he meets the beautiful and vivacious Caro in her small subway hatter store.
The film’s Austrian cast includes Verena Altenberger (The Best of All Worlds), Thomas Prenn (Great Freedom) and Margarethe Tiesel (Paradise:Love).
First Snow Of Summer is produced by Interspot Film and is set for domestic release in Austria on March 3, with PTI also repping other German speaking territories.
Born in Vienna, Raiber studied filmmaking at UCLA School of Theater and Film in Los Angeles, and has since amassed a string of commercials and TV credits. His short-films include Nelly (2015), which premiered at the Berlinale and was awarded with a Special Mention.
Also screening at Göteborg Film Festival is another PTI title, The Chambermaid, which just had its North American premiere in St. Barbara competition.
PTI’s Berlinale/EFM slate includes John Malkovich vehicle Seneca – On The Creation Of Earthquakes, A Whole Life by Hans Steinbichler and Alma & Oskar by Dieter Berner.
