Studios also offer new 30,000 sq ft stage for larger productions, including films.
Pinewood Studios have launched their brand new facilities for TV, as part of their multi-million pound investment.
Their dedicated TV Studios offer 9,000 sq ft and are now equipped with a full HD, 5.1 gallery, as well as increased studio lighting infrastructure, new studio floors and increased production accommodation. To complement this, the studio’s Digital Content Services department have created a secure digital solution to ingest, digest, transfer, edit, store and deliver content in any format with the world securely and at speed.
Pinewood also now offers the new 30,000 sq ft Richard Attenborough Stage for larger productions, including films, and a further 32 stages of up to 59,000 sq ft across its sites.
Paul Darbyshire, broadcast director at Pinewood commented: “This new investment is in direct response to our clients evolving needs. We need to be as flexible as possible and need to have a core infrastructure in place that gives us options – whether it’s on the number of cameras required, set turnaround, audio channels, data management or simply accommodation space. No two productions are the same and we need to respond to that.”
“With a new stage to service TV production and now with this new state of the art gallery to complement our already great TV studios, we are really putting a marker down to other UK studios. We want Pinewood to be the first call for any production team working on any genre of TV and believe with this investment we will be,” added Nick Smith, commercial director.
