The 18th edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, the Film Society Of Lincoln Center and Unifrance Films’ annual showcase French cinema, will run in New York from Feb 28-Mar 10.
The roster includes Régis Roinsard’s Populaire and Jean-Christophe Dessaint’s animation The Day Of The Crows, featuring the voice talent of Jean Reno and the late Claude Chabrol.
François Ozon’s cautionary tale In The House will also screen, as will the late Claude Miller’s final film Thérèse Desqueyroux.
The festival will also host a new, free Convergence event called ALT_MINDS and the Art Of French Transmedia.
“This year’s edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema offers another entertaining and informative look at the current state of cinema by the French, with a celebration of fresh and upcoming talent behind the camera and today’s prominent directors as well as a healthy nod to the film artists of the past,” said Film Society Of Lincoln Center director of year-round programming Robert Koehler.
