Family adventure shot in Argentina and features Pope Francis.
Principal photography has wrapped in Argentina on AMBI’s film Beyond The Sun, which sees Pope Francis appear in a feature film for the first time.
AMBI is financing the family adventure in association with Raven Capital Management and Paradox studios and will introduce to Cannes buyers through AMBI Distribution.
Graciela Rodriguez wrote and directed Beyond The Sun, which centres on children from different cultures who try to emulate the apostles as they search for Jesus.
The cast features child actors Aiden Cumming-Teicher, Cory Gruter-Andrew, Emma Duke, Kyle Breitkopf, and Sebastiάn Alexander Chou.
Pope Francis (pictured with AMBI co-founder Andrea Iervolino) makes a special appearance as himself and agreed to take part in support of the charities El Almendro and Los Hogares de Cristo, which help aid at-risk children and young adults in need.
AMBI co-founders Iervolino and Monika Bacardi are producing Beyond The Sun. Monsignor Eduardo Garcia, Bishop of San Justo and general assistant of the International Forum Of Catholic Action, serves as religious advisor.
