Toronto-based Raven Banner has acquired international rights to Jeremy Gardner’s elevated genre hit The Battery.
The film tells the story of two former baseball players whose personalities clash as they traverse the rural back roads of a post-plague New England teeming with the undead.
“The Battery is a smart-witted and thrilling take on a subgenre we all thought was overused and on the wane but revived with an intelligent approach,” said Raven Banner’s manager of acquisitions, Annick Mahnert.
Managing partners James Fler and Michael Paszt brokered the deal on behalf of Raven Banner with producers Adam Cronheim and Christian Stella.
