Reel Suspects’ Berlin Panorama title Lose Your Head has been snapped up by Open Reel for Italy.
Matteo Lovadina confirmed the UK, US and Taiwan are in “very advanced” negotiations on the psycho thriller.
The film, about a Spanish party tourist who gets lost in Berlin, is directed by Stefan Westerweele and Patrick Schuckmann, and is inspired by a true story.
Reel Suspects has also closed a pre-sale on Maartje Seyferth and Victor Nieuwenhuijs’ Cat & Mouse with Line Tree (South Korea).
Meanwhile, Reel Suspects has been doing brisk business on its newly restored Alain Robbe-Grillet collection. A US deal has now been conclude on the package with Redemption’s Kino Lorber and Donau has taken Germany.
The collection includes such titles as Trans-Europ-Express (1966), starring Jean-Louis Trintignant (Amour) as a paranoid drug dealer, and L’Homme Qui Ment (1968). Trintignant worked many times with Robbe-Grillet.
The Robbe-Grillet films will be released theatrically in France in October by Carlotta.
