English-language drama being sold at EFM to start shooting in June

Jean Reno [pictured] has joined the cast of The Way of the Eagle.

Gerardo Olivares’ English-language drama also stars Manuel Camacho and is set to commence principal photography in June with delivery scheduled for early 2015.

The Way of the Eagle centres on a troubled boy (Camacho) who finds a chick that has been thrown out of the nest. It features wildlife footage captured over four years in the mountain ranges of Austria and South Tyrol by directors Otmar Penker and Gerald Salmina.

Terra Mater Factual Studios are selling the film at EFM.

Walter Koehler, CEO for Terra Mater Factual Studios, commented: “The Way of the Eagle is a legacy film whose use of real-life wildlife footage combined with poignant human drama will resonate with audiences the world over.”

“We are delighted that Jean Reno is on board to bring to the project the passion and authenticity for which he is renowned,” added producer Joanne Reay.

Olivares’ debut feature Entre Lobos (Among Wolves) was one of the highest-grossing Spanish-language films in Spain in 2012.
