Tim Richards, founder and CEO at Vue Cinemas, and Clare Binns, joint managing director at Picturehouse Cinemas, are coming together in conversation to talk about how they plan to attract audiences back to cinemas, at the upcoming Restart Conference (May 18-20).
Richards, who was recently appointed chair of the British Film Institute, and Binns will talk about the issues including how they plan to meet the challenge of the ever-shrinking theatrical window, programming to entice new audiences and creating appealing pricing structures.
The live panel, chaired by Screen International awards/box office editor Charles Gant, will take place online at 10:45am BST on May 20.
It will be preceded by a presentation from Lucy Jones, executive director at analytics firm Comscore, on what may lie ahead for the box office, which will begin at 10.30am BST.
