Mario Van Peebles also stars in the story about a former Special Forces agent who is given five hours in which to eliminate three crime syndicates if his kidnapped son is to be returned alive. Matthew Garbacz has joined the cast as the child.
Isaac Florentine directs from a screenplay by Richard Lowry. Adkins and Florentine worked together on the Undisputed and Ninja franchises.
Rafael Primorac of Arramis Films and Premiere Entertainment Group president and CEO Elias Axume are producing alongside executive producers Stuart Alson, David Coppa, Jeff Miller, Daniel Lisanti, and Peter Organ.
Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are also on board as executive producers for BondIt Media Capital, who provided financing.
“We are very excited to be in production on Seized and can’t wait to bring the film to our buyers,” said Axume. “Seized promises to have top-level action with amazing action stunts by Scott Adkins under the direction of the great Isaac Florentine.”
Premiere Entertainment Group represents worldwide rights. Frank DeMartini brokered the film deal.
