Four UK arts organisations have been chosen to receive funding from The Sean Connery Foundation, with grants totalling approximately £1m.
The four grantees are: Glasgow Media Arts Centre (GMAC), Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE), Station House Media Unit, Aberdeen (SHMU), and The Portal Arts.
The funding is aimed at providing training for young people in the film and TV industry and delivering practical assistance across a variety of roles including writing, producing, and acting.
Launched in 2022, The Sean Connery Foundation was established to honour the legacy of the late UK actor Sean Connery. It aims to accelerate positive change in both education and ocean conservation through strategic grant-making.
The Sean Connery Foundation also partnered with the Scottish Youth Film Foundation (SYFF) in 2022.
