Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled additional release details and expansion information for its film slate as it customises releases for each film amid the slow re-opening of cinemas in the US.
Dror Moreh’s The Human Factor, which opened in the New York and Los Angeles areas on January 22, will open nationwide on May 7
Azazel Jacobs’s French Exit starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges is set to open in the New York and Los Angeles areas on February 12 and will open nationwide on April 2.
As previously announced, Florian Zeller’s The Father starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman will open in the New York and Los Angeles areas on February 26 and expand nationwide on March 12.
On March 26 it will become available on PVoD with a suggested retail price of $19.99.
Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw’s The Truffle Hunters, nominated by the PGA on Tuesday (February 2), will open in the New York and Los Angeles areas on March 5, a week earlier than previously announced, followed by a gradual expansion around the country. It completed a qualifying run in December.
Heidi Ewing’s I Carry You With Me will open in the New York and Los Angeles areas on May 21 before expanding on Memorial Day weekend. This follows the film’s December 2020 qualifying run.
