Lim spent six years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia.
MediaCorp has named Jack Lim as chief commercial officer, reporting to Shaun Seow, CEO. The appointment is effective from September 1.
In this newly created role heading the company’s commercial division, Lim will oversee all commercial relationships and fulfilment, including advertising sales, go-to-market partnerships and creative services.
He will develop a marketing strategy that integrates the company’s portfolio of products across platforms including TV and radio, press, magazines, and out-of-home and digital properties.
Lim previously spent six years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, where he was in charge of media and affiliate sales and marketing. During that time, he oversaw the move of the network’s sales model in Asia to support its growth into a multi-channel network.
Prior to that, Lim held regional leadership positions in marketing, brand and communications in global companies GE, IBM and CNBC.
Seow said Lim’s appointment coincides with MediaCorp’s strategy to place “greater emphasis on creating premium original content across our platforms” and “fresh approaches for businesses to reach their customers”.
