STXfilms has acquired North American and UK rights to Songbird, the pandemic thriller that shot recently in Los Angeles under strict health and safety protocols.
Adam Mason directs the story in which characters demonstrate the resilience of the human spirit as they fight for love and safety at the end of the world. Mason co-wrote the script with regular collaborator Simon Boyes, and wrapped principal photography earlier this month.
The cast includes Demi Moore, KJ Apa, Sofia Carson, Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stormare, Jenna Ortega, Alexandra Daddario, and Paul Walter Hauser.
Michael Bay and Adam Goodman and Andrew Sugerman for Invisible Narratives serve as producers with Catchlight Films’ Jeanette Volturno, Jason Clark, Marcei Brown and Eben Davidson. Michael Kase is executive producer.
STXfilms brokered the deal with ICM Partners and Endeavor Content, Goodman, Sugerman and their outside counsel Reder & Feig LLP on behalf of Invisible Narratives.
Endeavor Content represents international sales.
