First Run Features have picked up Peter Mettler’s The End Of Time for US distribution.
The National Film Board of Canada’s (NFB) Christina Rogers oversaw the US distribution deal, as well as the one for Australia where Palace Films will distribute. The film also sold to Against Gravity for Poland, with Cornelia Seitler of maximage overseeing all European sales.
Previously confirmed deals for The End Of Time included theatrical releases in Switzerland and Canada through Look Now! and Mongrel Media, respectively.
Marc Mauceri, Vice President of First Run Features, commented: “I’ve been a fan of Peter for many years, and am very pleased that we will work side by side on the release of his wondrous, thought-provoking new film.”
Cornelia Seitler and Brigitte Hofer (maximage), Ingrid Veninger (pUNK Films for Grimthorpe) and Gerry Flahive (NFB) produced the film, which received its world premiere at Locarno where it won the Premio Qualita di Vita Prize for best environmental film, awarded by the youth jury.
