Heading into its second weekend Top Gun: Maverick stands at $390.6m at the global box office and will cross $400m later today (June 3).
The Tom Cruise action-adventure sequel from Paramount and Skydance has reached $185m internationally and $205.6m in North America and soared past Top Gun’s $356.3m global, $176m international and $180.3m North American final tallies on Thursday.
In North America the new film is poised to overtake 2005 sci-fi War Of The Worlds on $234.3m to become Cruise’s biggest hit in North America.

Paramount Pictures International executives released latest key territory grosses led by the UK on $35.4m, France on $15.7m and Australia on $15.2m.
Japan has generated $15.2m, Middle East $9.7m, Germany $9m, Brazil $7m, Mexico $6.1m and Italy $6.1m.
