VENTANA SUR EXCLUSIVE: Guido Rud’s Buenos Aires-based sales agent has licensed Hungary and Romania on Torrente: Mission Euro Vegas to ADS Service following the previously announced deal with Disney.

The deal means Santiago Segura’s $10m fifth episode in the smash Spanish action comedy franchise will open in the Eastern European markets in March.

Segura reprises his role as the crooked police officer in the story, which also features Alec Baldwin.

Rud is in talks with a number of other territories and is discussing remake rights for India, Italy and Germany.

As previously announced, Disney holds Latin American rights and Sony distributed the film in Spain, where it sold more than 1.8m tickets.

Netflix holds Latin American digital rights to the first four instalments, as do Star for India, Smile Films for Scandinavia and HBO for central Europe pay-TV and S-VOD.
