UK-based event cinema specialist Trafalgar Releasing has boarded Andrew Dominik’s Berlinale documentary This Much I Know To Be True.
Trafalgar will release the film in cinemas worldwide via a global event on May 11.
This Much I Know To Be True debuted as a Special title at last month’s Berlinale; it centres on the partnership between Nick Cave and his musical collaborator Warren Ellis, as the pair record live performances of songs from the last two albums of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
It is the fifth Nick Cave film released by Trafalgar, and the second from Dominik, following 2016’s One More Time With Feeling.
“The relationship between Nick and Warren has been such a compelling element of their longstanding musical collaboration, and Andrew’s film has flawlessly captured this,” said Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing. “The reaction from the Berlin Film Festival has been overwhelmingly positive, setting up our global event perfectly.”
This Much I Know To Be True should be the first of two Dominik films to emerge this year. Speaking to Screen during Berlin, the director said he expects his highly-anticipated Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde to receive an NC-17 rating in the US.
