Tribeca Film Festival organisers have announced that the event’s ninth edition will take place in New York from April 21–May 2, 2010.
The Tribeca Film Institute’s Tribeca All Access (TAA) program will run from April 19–April 26, 2010.
Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff founded the festival in 2001 to spur the economic and cultural revitalisation of the lower Manhattan district in the wake of the September 11 attacks on New York City.
The festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience, enable the international film community and general public to experience the power of cinema, and promote New York City as a major filmmaking centre.
