A high-end TV drama based on Robert Harris’s new novel Munich is being produced by FremantleMedia.

The spy thriller will be an international co-production between FremantleMedia’s Euston Films and UFA Fiction.

The Anglo-German co-production will be in the UK and Germany.

The novel is set before the start of WW2, with British prime minster Neville Chamberlain set for last ditch peace talks with Germany.

Other upcoming large scale FremantleMedia TV dramas include The Dublin Murders for BBC One and The Breach: Inside The Impeachment Of Bill Clinton for HISTORY.

Harris’s other novels include Fatherland, Pompeii and Dictator.

Harris said: “From my point of view, this is the perfect combination – an Anglo-German co-production of a story set in England and Germany, telling the story of an Englishman and a German struggling against the Nazis. From the moment I heard that Euston Films and UFA wanted to make it together, I knew my novel could not be in better hands.”
