Dubai-based distributor Front Row Filmed Entertainment and Qatar’s beIN Media Group have renewed a multi-year pay-TV deal and struck a new SVoD output deal.
Under the accord, Front Row’s premium English-language feature acquisitions will premiere exclusively in MENA on beIN’s movie channels and its OTT service, beIN Connect.
Sports and entertainment group beIN operates in 43 countries globally, including 24 countries across the MENA region.
Front Row Filmed Entertainment acquires more than 100 feature films a year for the MENA region. as well as a number of TV series. Films on its current slate include Anna Todd’s After, Sean Penn’s Flag Day. Florian Zeller’s Oscar contender The Father and Paul Schrader’s The Card Counter.
The deal continues Front Row’s ongoing expansion drive across the MENA region and comes hot on the heels of its announcement in January of a new joint venture with Riyadh-based exhibition chain Muvi Cinema to create a Saudi distribution company called Front Row Arabia.
