Scotland Yard are investigating a new allegation against disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein.
The alleged sexual assault took place in Westminster, London in the 1990s. It is the 15th allegation of assault from ten women.
The incident is being investigated as part of the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Kaguyak. In a statement, they said: “Officers from the Met’s Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command have received allegations of sexual assault from 10 victims under Operation Kaguyak.”
“On 8 February, an allegation was received that the man sexually assaulted a woman (Victim 10) in Westminster in the mid-1990s.”
“There has been no arrest at this stage or interviews under caution.”
Weinstein has been accused of rape, sexual assault and harassment, but has denied any allegations of non-consensual relationships.
The producer will feature in a new documentary Weinstein: The Inside Story, a PBS/BBC co-production set to air in the UK on Thursday (1 March).
His relationship with the British film industry was also explored in Channel 4 documentary ‘Working With Weinstein’, which aired on 20 Feb.
