UK producer Nevision has promoted Anne Morrison to CEO and creative director.
Morrison joined Nevision three years ago as creative director, factual programmes. She will continue in this role, while broadening her remit to also focus on future grown and strategic expansion for the company.
Nevision’s slate includes Glenrothan – the directorial debut of Succession actor Brian Cox, which is in development with Lionsgate. Morrison executive produced Nevison’s TV feature documentary The Missing Children, a co-production with True Vision that was broadcast on ITV in the UK, which won a Bafta TV award in the specialist factual category.
Morrison will work with Nevision’s creative director, kids and family, Nigel Pickard, and creative director, scripted, Neil Zeiger, on the company’s active development slate. She will also work closely with Nevision’s US operation and with sister company Nevis Productions, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Morrison was the second woman in Bafta’s history to be named chair, a role she took on in 2014. She spent much of her career at the BBC, with roles including controller, documentaries and contemporary factual, and director and founder of the broadcasting training and development programme, BBC Academy.
