UKTI is searching for 15 innovative British businesses to become tech ambassadors at film festival SXSW 2016.

The government bid has issued a call for “creative and interesting” companies to help showcase the best of British content at the five-day event which takes place in Austin, Texas in March.

The 15 winners, which will be selected by a panel of judges and advisers, will benefit from a series of exclusive introductions to a host of influential US companies and high-level investors.

In advance of SXSW, UKTI’s vice consul of technology and creative Haileigh Meyers is to tour the UK from Jan 22-29, presenting a series of free seminars offering advice on how to pitch to US investors and navigate the chaotic event.

To apply to be a considered as a UKTI Tech Ambassador visit the dedicated website and apply before 11 December.

SXSW takes place from March 11-15 at the Austin Convention Centre, Austin, Texas
