Universal action hit F9 will play at Cannes Film Festival in July, according to sources.
The festival is yet to officially confirm the news, however Screen understands the tentpole has secured a special screening slot and will play for the public on the beachfront.
Cannes head Thierry Frémaux hinted there would be a major Hollywood tentpole at the festival this year, prompting speculation about its identity.
F9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and John Cena and is the biggest Hollywood hit since the pandemic began, earning $256.4m over three weekends and $203.9m in China alone as of Monday.
It is not known whether the cast will attend, although that is believed to be unlikely as Americans are erring on the side of caution with regard to travel due to the pandemic.
F9 opens in France on July 14, and arrives in the US on June 25. Cannes Film Festival is set to run from July 6-17.
