Bleecker Street has acquired US rights from to Vanessa Kirby period drama The World To Come following its recent world premiere in Venice.
The distributor has not set a release date.
Mona Fastvold directed the drama set in 1850s America about a female friendship that blossoms into passionate love.
Katherine Waterston also stars and the cast includes Casey Affleck, and Christopher Abbott.
Yellow Bear Entertainment produced. Sony holds international rights to The World To Come.
Kirby won the Venice Coppa Volpi best actress prize at the festival last weekend for her role as a grieving mother in Pieces Of A Woman, which Netflix has acquired.
UTA Independent Film Group and Endeavor Content jointly represented US rights to the film.
