Visit Films, which is jetting in to Berlin to launch EFM sales on Berlinale section Dreams’ Gate among other titles, has announced a wave of deals on recent festival hits including a US deal and multiple territories on last year’s Berlin Silver Bear winner Robe Of Gems.
Natalia Lopez’s tale of redemption, family and violence in Mexico will open in the US this summer through Monument Releasing and has also gone to Madman Entertainment for Australia and New Zealand, as well as Mubi for Italy, Baltics, Africa, southeast Asia, India, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Latin America, Benelux, Spain and Scandinavia.
Further deals have closed for Taiwan and Vietnam (Creative Century Entertainment), Greece (Ama Films), Poland (Aurora Films), and Eastern Europe (HBO Europe). In two airlines deals, Skyline has acquired Robe Of Gems for Emirates, and Anuvu for KLM and United.
2022 TIFF comedy I Like Movies, from Chandler Levack, has been sold to Icon Film Distribution for Australia and New Zealand, Front Row for the Middle East, Falcon Pictures for Indonesia, Volgafilm for CIS, and Beijing Century Carnival Media for China airlines.
Visit president Ryan Kampe and assistant director of sales Madeleine Tangney have closed deals on Joseph Amenta’s 2022 TIFF drama Soft with Level Film for Canada, and Falcon Pictures for Indonesia.
2021 TIFF horror Good Madam from Jenna Cato Bass has been sold to Amazon for sub-Saharan Africa and Skyline for Emirates airlines. The film was released by Shudder in the US.
2022 Tribeca drama The Integrity Of Joseph Chambers from Robert Machoian (The Killing Of Two Lovers) has gone to Lightbulb Film Distribution for the UK, Wildduck Productions for Spain, HBO Europe for Eastern Europe, and New People Film Company for CIS. The film will be released by Gravitas Ventures in the US in later this month.
2022 SXSW comedy Jethica from Pete Ohs, has been sold to Lightbulb for the UK, Wildduck Productions for Spain, and HBO Europe for Eastern Europe. It was just released theatrically in the US.
2022 Sundance and 2021 Venice drama The Cathedral by Ricky D’Ambrose has gone to Wildduck Productions for Spain, Videorama for Greece, and Front Row for the Middle East. Mubi released in the US and Canada.
Mark Cousins’ 2021 Cannes Classics documentary The Storms Of Jeremy Thomas has been licensed to A Contracorriente for Spain and Joint Entertainment for Taiwan. Cohen Media Group will distribute in the US.

Renan Ozturk and Freddie Wilkinson’s 2021 Vancouver International Film Festival climbing documentary The Sanctity Of Space: China (Jeten), Hong Kong (PCCW). Greenwich Entertainment released in the US.
2020 Sundance comedies The Nowhere Inn from Bill Benz and Dinner In America from Adam Carter Rehmeier: Turkey (Fabula Films). Dinner In America also went to Falcon Pictures for Indonesia and Creative Century Entertainment for Taiwan and Vietnam.
2022 TIFF drama We Are Still Here by Chantelle Burgoyne, Dena Curtis and Richard Curtis: Indonesia (Falcon Pictures).
Finally, Visit has licensed UK rights on Todd Solondz’s cult classic and 1996 Sundance grand jury prize winner Welcome To The Dollhouse to Radiance Films for a UK re-release.
