Wanda Cinema Line, Asia’s largest cinema chain, has added 350  Christie Solaria Series 2K and 4K digital projectors to its expanding screen base in China.

Once installed, Wanda will have 1,000 Christie digital cinema projectors operational.

Wanda Cinema Line accounts for a 15% share of the national box office in China, with 86 cineplexes and 730 movie screens, making it one of the leading cinema chains in the world.

The company plans to expand its operations to more than 200 cineplexes and 2,000 movie screens nationwide by 2015.

Lin Yu, vice president of Christie Asia Pacific, said it had now deployed more than 36,000 digital cinema projectors around the world.
