The Warsaw Film Foundation, Beijing Film Market and Film Factory have partnered to launch the China-Eastern Europe Film Promotion Programme (CEEFPP).
The aim of the initiative is “to encourage a long-term relationship and cultural exchange between Chinese and Eastern European film professionals and to facilitate the mutual promotional activities in the area of film between China and Eastern Europe.”
CEEFPP activities will be held in Warsaw, during the CentEast Market; in Beijing, during the Beijing Film Market; and at leading film festivals in Eastern Europe.
A selection of completed new Chinese films and works-in-progress will be presented at CentEast (Oct 18-20) to sales agents and international festival programmers.
In April 2014 about ten selected completed new Eastern European films and works-in-progress will be presented at the Beijing Film Market.
Warsaw Film Foundation organises the Warsaw Film Festival and CentEast Market Warsaw, both held in October.
Beijing Film Market (BFM) is the industry side of the Beijing International Film Festival, held in April.
The pact was initiated by Beijing-based social networking platform Film Factory.
