United Artists Releasing/Orion Pictures have moved back the limited release of awards contender Women Talking by three weeks from December 2 to December 23.
Sarah Polley’s drama about Mennonite women who gather secretly to debate how to respond to abusive behaviour by their husbands will expand on January 6, 2023.
The film premiered at Telluride and went on to screen at TIFF, New York Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and AFI Fest. In late October it garnered three Gothams nominations for Polley’s screenplay (adapted from the novel by Miriam Toews), and Jessie Buckley and Ben Whishaw for supporting performance.
The cast includes Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Frances McDormand, Sheila McCarthy, and Judith Ivey.
