The late screen and television writer Daryl G Nickens will posthumouslyreceive the Morgan Cox Honorary Service Award at the 2007 Writers GuildAwards ceremony on Feb 11.
Nickens co-wrote the 1991 number onerelease House Party 2 with Rusty Cundieff. His television creditsinclude The Parkers, Viper, Benson and The Fabulous Jeff Jackson.
'Thisaward is the least we can do to show our gratitude for the tirelesswork Daryl did for our union and its members. He was loved, and he ismissed,' Writers Guild of America, West's (WGAW) president Patric MVerrone said.
Nickens served as Writers Guild Foundation vicepresident and was a member of the WGAW's board of directors. He diedaged 57 last July.
