EXCLUSIVE: Swedish distributor picks up The Duke of Burgundy, X+Y and This is England ‘90, among others.
Swedish distributor NonStop Entertainment has been on a buying spree, snapping up seven titles in the EFM.
The company has taken the Scandinavian and Baltic rights for Peter Strickland’s BDSM-themed The Duke of Burgundy from Protagonist, as well as X+Y from Bankside films.
NonStop Entertainment is distributing X+Y in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Baltics.
Another new acquisition is This Is England ’90 from WARP Films.

Meanwhile, NonStop has also taken Julio Medem’s Ma Ma from Seville International. The film stars, and is produced by, Penelope Cruz.
Another new pick up is Dear White People from The Exchange. Justin Simien’s satire looks at the tensions between black and white kids at an Ivy League college.
NonStop has taken Aton Egoyan’s Devil’s Knot from The Weinstein Company, staring Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon. NonStop is distributing Devil’s Knot in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
The final new pick up is Abel Ferrara’s Pasolini, sold by Funny Balloons. The film looks at the last days of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Willem Dafoe.
