NonStop Sales has closed a deal on Nowegian family drama Magic Silver despite not yet screening the film. The deal has been signed with Korean buyer Rich Entertainment.
The film, directed by Roar Uthaug (Cold Prey), is a live action fantasy about Princess Bluerose, a small gnome living in the Norwegian mountains. It will be released in Norway on over 100 prints in November.
NonStop has also closed a deal on new thriller Forest, by Oscar nominated director Ashvin Kumar (Little Terrorist) and starring Ankur Vikar (Slumdog Millionaire). It has gone to Asian buyer Suraya for Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and The Middle East.
Meanwhile, another title on the company’s varied slate has also found an Asian home. The Russian war epic Leningrad, starring Mira Sorvino as a young British journalist during the Nazi siege of Leningrad in the winter of 1941, has gone to China to Beijing-based distributor New View TV & Media.
