Sweden's NonStop Sales has secured rights to Swedish feel-good movie, Dream, from new production outfit Finalcut Entertainment.
The English-language romantic comedy-drama, which was shot on location in Sheffield, and London on a $3.5m (SKR35m) budget, stars UK veterans Sinead Cusack and Philip Martin Brown as well as EastEnders TV actor Joe Absolom in his feature debut. The story is of a 16 year-old girl and her boyfriend, who both have a dream, but not the same one.
Dream is directed by Mikael Hylin and written by Reidar Jonsson, who was Oscar-nominated as co-writer of the script for My Life As A Do. Hylin previously directed thriller Hassel - There Is No Mercy. Jonsson, author of thirteen novels as well as stage, television and feature material also produced Dream for Finalcut Entertainment, a company set up by him and partner Per-Erik Lindberg. Lindberg executive produced with Maria Norman, a former executive with Kopelson Entertainment.
At Cannes, Michael Werner's NonStop, will also showcase the Danish box office hit Flickering Lights and the Norwegian surprise success Cool And Crazy.
